Management Team

The Exony management team reflects the diverse experience necessary to deliver mission critical interaction management software products and services to demanding business users and technology teams responsible for customer contact in large-scale, virtualized, multi-national Enterprises and Service Providers.  

The Exony team's background includes significant experience in customer management, technology innovation, software product engineering, business implementation and technical support, gained in leading Service Providers, Consulting and Software Product companies.

 

Jonathan McKay

Jonathan McKay, Chairman
With more than 30 years technology management experience, Jonathan is Chairman of Exony.  Prior to forming his own consultancy in 2002, Jonathan led Sun Microsystems’ Tools and Integration business unit, formerly Forte, of which he was COO when Sun purchased the group. A keen ocean yachtsman, Jonathan has held leading management roles at a number of international technology firms.

Rex Dorricott

 

Rex Dorricott, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder
Rex was one of the founders of Exony in 1999 and now leads the company as Chief Executive Officer. He oversees company strategy, product roadmap and relationships with Exony’s strategic technology partners. Rex has spearheaded Exony's drive to put business users 'in control' in some of the world's most complex and demanding contact center environments.

Rex has more than 25 years experience in a prestigious career that includes prominent positions at Motorola and heading up European Software Research and Development at Sony Broadcast.  Rex holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering and MA in Engineering from Southampton as well as an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Surrey University.

Phil Sweetland

 

Phil Sweetland, Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Phil joined Exony in 2003, took over responsibility for Sales in 2005 and was invited to join the Exony Board of Directors in 2008.  With a background in engineering and project delivery, Phil is committed to ensuring Exony customer’s post sales success.  By putting the business user ‘in control’, he has overseen Exony build a committed and prestigious customer base across North America, Europe and APAC.

Prior to Exony, Phil held senior positions at Portal Software (Oracle), PWC, Sybase and Logica. He is an honours graduate in Electronic Engineering.

Doug Webster

Doug Webster, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and co-founder
A co-founder of Exony, Doug Webster has over 25 years experience in designing and delivering complex software projects for a variety of blue chip enterprises. Doug and his team are responsible for Exony's unique Contact Center Control Framework and the capabilities VIM delivers to business users and partners alike.

Doug’s career includes software development and technology team management roles at both Logica and IPL where he worked on a number of military and civilian security projects.  His time at IPL also included a long-term secondment to Sony's European Software R&D Organization.

 

Michael Hickland

Michael Hickland, Chief Financial Officer
Michael is a seasoned financial expert in the contact centre, technology and health industries, with over 25 years’ experience. Michael joined Exony in June 2006 to enable Exony grow in Europe, the North Americas and Asia-Pacific.  Previously, Michael was VP of Finance at the service experience management firm Kana. He has also served as European Finance Director at Genesys and has occupied various senior roles at other organizations, including IMS Health and PWC. Michael holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies from Wolverhampton University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Baker Tilly in London.

Simon Stearn

 

Simon Stearn, Services and Support

As VP of Services and Support, Simon ensures that Exony’s customers receive the best possible help in getting 'in control' of their contact center resources with their Exony products. His dedication to service means that customers can get the expert support that they’d expect from a leading provider like Exony. Simon joined Exony in March 2005 from Netonomy, where he was also VP of Services and Support, and has more than 15 years experience in the technology industry. Simon’s pedigree in the industry also includes roles as Senior Director of Client Services at Portal Software and Practice Manager at Sybase.

Simon Bunegar

 

Simon Bunegar, Vice President of Marketing

Simon joined Exony in 2008 to take responsibility for Marketing. Simon has over 20 years experience in helping businesses deliver customer value and address both customer contact issues and opportunities. He has extensive international experience with organizations such as Avaya, Lucent, and Cramer Systems running both business and technical programmes in over 20 countries.
